Something simple

It's getting late, today's been a big day, tomorrow's going to be an even bigger and busier day --- These are all very excellent reasons to get a good night's sleep tonight, and I am going to listen to reason this time. Which means, dear readers, a short post this Monday.

I feel list-y.

4 movies that I've recently watched and liked:

"The Rabbit Hole" -- Tearjerker that merits every tear. Go see it.
"Howl's Moving Castle" -- Another gorgeous piece of animation from Mr. Miyazaki. Adam and I would rank it in our top three if "Totoro", "Spirited Away" and "Princess Mononoke" weren't already there.
"True Grit" -- Good 'n' gritty. I enjoyed every second.
"The King's Speech" -- saw this at Christmas with the fam and was thoroughly charmed.

4 movie's I've seen recently and didn't really like:

"Pan's Labyrinth" -- I was so depressed after this movie, I think I worried Adam.
"Buried" -- we watched this too soon after Pan's Labyrinth, and I definitely worried Adam after this one was over. 
"The Damned United" -- it doesn't happen often that I skip the end of a film, but I could not get through this one. I could see exactly where the character was going, and I didn't want to go there with him.
"New York, I love you" -- we were hoping for something as quirky and unique as "Paris, je t'aime" and felt disappointed in this city's version.

Happy things:

1. My birthday is tomorrow.
2. My big brother is getting married in less than a year!
3. Dreaming about my future hostel
4. Getting all the bathrooms cleaned at the hostel before 9am (triumph!)
5. Movies
6. New music on my iPod shuffle
7. Hearing Lille on my iPod shuffle
8. Downy fabric softener
9. Seeing a big huge boat sail by from the Wal-mart parking lot
10. Spotting 6 alligators at Jean LaFitte Nat'l Park
11. Visits from family/friends and getting to show them New Orleans as I love it

Eleven has always been my favorite number, ever since I first learned my multiplication tables, so this seems like the perfect place to stop.
