Thankvember?

Sorry if anyone was holding their breath for the laaaast Thankvember post! It's in the process, and will be late. Obviously. :)

The 30th was our day off and it was EPIC. We had a list of things we wanted to do in the French Quarter before leaving and we pretty much scratched all of them off. And had a blast in the process. Favorite restaurants, music, scootin' around, taking care of errand-business, movie, etc.

Tonight I was totally going to finish the post, but I was having a lot of fun playing Fireboy & Watergirl with my husband, and time got away from us.

Always worth it, time  spent with that man.

You know what else would be "worth it?":

Spending the money, time and effort to make THIS cake (below), just to eat it. I ate Tim-Tam cookies almost exclusively when I lived in New Zealand for a semester in 2005. I will always miss them...

Not only is it a cake that looks like a massive Tim-Tam, it actually HAS TIM-TAM COOKIES BAKED INSIDE!!!
Also, in case you were wondering: studies have shown conclusively that pie > cake. Read for yourself, here*. (*language alert)
